Claims Analysis
Claims-related services by PMSI include litigation analysis and preparation:
- A rapid review of the numerous documents produced by a construction project in order to determine where problems lie, and their relative importance.
- A discovery phase to obtain and analyze the numerous construction documents, many of which are not available in the owner's files. We will use a database management computer program to analyze data.
- Calculation of damages to include analysis of differing site conditions, delay, labor, material, unapproved change orders, out of sequence work, extended direct job expense, extended main office overhead, weather, lost profits, liquidated damages, defective performance, acceleration, defective documents, and termination.
- Proof of delay involves comparison of reasonable "As-Planned" performance with "As-Built" performance. Adjusting "As-Built" to reflect all delays, attributing the impact of time to each delay.
- Presentation and refutation of technical evidence involving translation of technical language into terms easily understood by adjudicating officials.
